Technology Connected is a not-for-profit organisation that unifies, promotes, and champions the technology industry in Wales on the global stage. We are committed to protecting your personal information. By using This website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unless indicated otherwise, this Privacy Policy relates to our use of any personal information we collect or use in relation to the following services:
- The Technology Connected website
- Technology Connected events, including physical and digital events for partner/non-partners
- Online surveys relating to Technology Connected’s services
- Technology Connected marketing activities

The Personal Data provided by partners provides them with access to different services and events. Plus, to aid the efficient development, compliance and undertaking of partnership services.
- To contact you: To contact you by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication with updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products or contracted services, including security updates, when necessary for implementation.
- To provide you with news, special offers and general information about other products, services, and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about, unless you have opted not to receive such information.
- To manage your enquiries: To attend to and manage enquiries sent to us.
- For other purposes: We may use your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our website, services, marketing and/or your experience as a partner.
Disclosure of your information:
We may share your personal information with:
- Venues, suppliers and contractors: Where necessary to carry out Technology Connected’s services and events.
- Third-party service providers: Such as event booking systems (GlueUp), marketing systems (Brevo) and survey tools (Survey Monkey).
- IT service providers: Suppliers who provide our IT services, as well as those offering support and maintenance for our online systems, may occasionally have supervised access to certain parts of our systems containing personal information for the purpose of maintenance and support.
- Stakeholders: We may share your information with our stakeholders, in which case we will require those stakeholders to honour this Privacy Policy. Stakeholders include Welsh Government and joint venture partners / other initiatives that we control or that are under common control with us, e.g., Wales Tech Week.
- Solicitors, insurers and the courts: If we have obtained personal information from claimants, we may need to share this information as part of our defence in a legal claim.
- With your explicit consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent. If this happens, we will seek your explicit consent and provide detailed information on the reasons for sharing, how and when it will be shared, and with whom your personal information will be shared.

Retention of your personal data:
Technology Connected will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Technology Connected will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our website, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Your information, including personal data, is processed at Technology Connected’s primary operating offices, at employees’ remote work locations, and at the offices of relevant suppliers.
