His influence spans all levels of business practice. Beyond his data leadership, Sameer serves as a Non-Executive Director across Financial Services, Healthcare, Sports, Housing, and Education sectors and has held CDO roles in numerous multinational corporations and FTSE 500 companies.

Sameer Rahman has been in the data industry for 20 years and has been widely and repeatedly recognised as UK's Top 100 data leaders and influencers.

He has worked for multiple brands big and small leading them on a data and digital transformation journey covering specialties on Data Monetisation, Data Strategy, Data Management and Governance, BI and Analytics and Machine learning and AI.

He has served as an exec and a non-exec in various different organisations and currently sits as a non-exec in four different companies including Housing, Sports and Health sector. He has been a senior advisor and consultant for brands like Jaguar Land Rover, BT, Shell, Legal and General and various other high profile FTSE 500 companies. He has also, as an employee, led data strategy and monetization at Gocompare.com and more recently at The Royal Mint. Sameer Rahman now runs his own company called DataMonet which specialises in high level data application and monetization with the sole proposition of getting data into boardroom decision making. He has also served as a senior advisor to various start-ups and have led them to Seed and Series A funding.

Key Achievements include

• Helped various startups like Fairmoney, Business Butler, NearMeNow, Resooma to define their business model and develop their thinking subsequently leading to various rounds of investment

• One of the first adopters of Machine learning and as a part of the team implemented machine learning and intelligent automation in Gocompare in 2013 (when machine learning was a very new concept in the UK)

• As NED for Glamorgan Cricket club, helped guide the Commercial strategy with data and digitization of the stadium a key part of the strategy. Was part of the pitch team which helped Glamorgan win the pitch for multi-billion-pound T100 competition

• Used customer and market segments to lead the development of new propositions in Gocompare helping it grow market share to become the second biggest aggregator in Car and Home Insurance

• Set up the Data Science and Marketing Analytics function in Edit with predictive modelling as core propositions. Setting up of tech and data partnerships, hiring of the data science team. Won more than twenty major clients in the first 12 months bringing in £3m+ in revenue and £1.4m profits the first 12 months

• Drove the partnership agenda with sister companies within the St Ives PLC and centralized the data function to support a group of 15 different companies across the group making the data function a truly global function with services across US, UK, Europe, and Argentina

• Brought about data and digital transformation in various small and big companies through the mentality of ‘Think Big, start small, scale fast’ and adopting a test and learn culture to iterate and disrupt business models
